SANITAS PEAK:
Hemp Focused Investment for Tomorrow
We are witnessing a seismic shift in consumer demand toward healthier and more sustainable goods in the United-States and across the globe.
Our work is to make that happen: building a new economy from hemp, a sustainable resource for America and beyond.
Why hemp?
How does hemp meet new consumer needs?
Short-Cycle Carbon
Hemp can be grown in 90 days - in comparison to the 20 years it takes for trees to mature, or the 5 years for bamboo.
Bio-Based Resource
Plastics are polluting our oceans and land. Hemp can provide an environmentally friendly substitute.
Healthy Plant Protein
Hemp seeds provide an omega rich plant protein that can supply the growing demand for plant protein.
Revitalize Rural America
Hemp farming can revitalize rural America by providing a valuable new rotation crop, one that requires fewer inputs to farm, replenishes the soil as it grows and sequesters carbon .
Strong Fiber Profile
Hemp is currently used for the manufacture of clothes, paper, building materials and insulation for high end cars (BMW) and more.
An Investment in Hemp is an Investment in Tomorrow!
The 2018 Farm Bill legalized hemp at the federal level in the United States. At the time, we described this as the removal of regulatory constraints on a nascent industry. In hindsight, we can more accurately describe this as the ‘call to arms’ that heralded the entrance to the market of a vibrant and talented group of entrepreneurs and scientists attracted by the vast potential of hemp and focused on harnessing the plant's power for medicine, food, feed, and fiber.
Still, it has not been a simple path for hemp in America. The oversupply of biomass grown in the United States in recent years shook market players along the CBD supply chain, crashed prices, led corporate credit to erode and market valuations to retrench.
And yet, four years in, we remain enthusiastic believers and strong advocates of the vast potential of hemp as an important resource for the future, one that offers excellent solutions to reducing the worlds reliance on fossil-based carbons, providing healthier alternative sources demanded by consumers, and supporting American farmers.
Sanitas Peak
At Sanitas Peak, we’ve spent the last four years in the hemp market, reviewing hundreds of companies, investing across the supply chain, and managing our own trading company.
This hands-on experience has offered significant insights which in turn have forged within us a unique perspective regarding the plant, the industry, and the market.
We understand the difficulties facing companies across this growing industry and we know where bottlenecks are holding back the development of the hemp market.
Our work is about creating value - and we work with hemp entrepreneurs and with those seeking to deploy capital into this new industry.
